Anishinaabemowin: Alphabet, Sounds, Vowels

Treaty 2 Territory – Anishinaabemowin Sessions 1 – 6 provide lessons on the Anishinaabe Alphabet, Vowels, and Sounds. Corey ‘the Coyote’ Whitford shares the important alphabets in Anishinaabemowin. All Anishinaabemowin sessions will be in 4 parts: Speaking, Reading, Writing, Listening. In these lessons, you will learn there are some alphabets in the English language that are NOT used in the Anishinaabemowin alphabet and the “glottal” stop which is important in the spelling and pronunciation of Anishinaabemowin. The Coyote introduces Ma’iiganas (Little Coyote) in Sessions 1 – 6. Ma’iinganas will be assisting the Coyote in the delivery of Anishinaabemowin.
